ADAWN, Bridal Accessories and Shoe Colouring, is a small personalised business which was started in 1989. Dawn, who trained as a milliner many years before, opened a business creating custom made headpieces, tiaras, veils and jewellery for the brides as well as hats and fascinators for the mothers of the bride and groom.

At this time it also became apparent to Dawn that there was a demand for accurate colouring of the bridal parties shoes to match their outfits. Her husband Russ, a man with a technical background in colour television broadcasting and a keen eye for the accurate colour reproduction, became involved.

He adapted some equipment purchased from the USA to scan dress fabrics for colour and formulate colour coatings for leathers and vinyls. This resulted in a method of accurately matching shoes and handbags to their outfits. To our knowledge today we are still the only people in Australia offering a computerised colour matching service.

Over the past 17 years we have combined these two services into a “One Stop Accessory Service”. We offer Custom Made Headpieces, Veils, Jewellery and Fascinators plus the accurate Colouring of Shoes & Handbags as well as a free Fashion Advisory Service for the Mothers of the Bride and Groom.
